Odele Habets
Pastor
Hi,
Hi,
Rev Dr Myk Habets is a lecturer of theology at Laidlaw College and author of theological works. When not teaching he can be found preaching around churches, running seminars, and having fun with his family—mostly at one of the many splendid beaches on Auckland’s North Shore. Myk loves sports and one day he hopes to own his own Harley Davidson. He and his wife Odele are on staff at Albany Baptist Church and they have two adorable children.
My name is Brigitta Rohr and I am a counsellor/prof supervisor in private practice. I have been married to Martin for 44 years. We have 4 biological adult children and one adopted daughter and all together 8 grandchildren. Our country of origin is Switzerland. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour in 1980. Our family has been members of Albany Baptist Church for nearly 30 years. We love our church home; it is a very welcoming and accepting place, where people get encouraged to be ‘who they are’. I see it as a privilege to be involved in different ministries.
Born in Switzerland, I had the privilege of being brought up by loving parents who gave their best in following the Lord and passing on their love to my two brothers and me. Early on, I realised that Christianity is more than a religion, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Brigitta and I married back in 1981 and got blessed with three healthy girls and son. I have had the priviledge of serving on the church leadership team for many years and also enjoyed assisting in various church outreach activities. My aspiration is to love and accept people for who they are. Jesus Christ is my role model, but I still have a long way to go.
And yes, I love New Zealand ice cream 😉
I am a software engineer by trade, but I have always been passionate about music. I have been serving in the worship team at Albany Baptist in various capacities for many years and am now taking on the role of leading the worship team here. We have a fantastic friendly team and it is a privilege to serve alongside them. Outside of church you would likely find me eating with friends, on a walk or reading, with a cup of coffee in hand.
Hi, I’m Erica, wife to Gel and Mama to Grayson (4yrs old 2024). I’ve lived on the North Shore for most of my life and been a member of Windsor Park Baptist, Glenfield Baptist and now call ABC mine and my family’s home church. Over the years I’ve served in different church ministries from 0-18+yrs (preschool, primary, youth, and young adults) and been part of a service worship team. I have a Diploma in Christian Studies. I have worked in hospitality (Cafe Windsor) and still work for 4kids & Whanau childcare center with primary aged children and resource their holiday program. I love working with children and their families and was excited to take on the role of Children’s Ministry Team Facilitator at ABC. This role includes oversight of our parent coffee group in partnership with Plunket (Monday’s during term time), Toolbox parenting course facilitation, and our ABC Sunday children’s program and connection with our church families. Parents and caregivers have the greatest opportunity to disciple their children through the day to day sharing of their own faith, and I’m here to support, resource and encourage. Come check us out, and feel free to get in touch with any questions about what we do at ABC. ericabl@abcbaptist.org.nz
